First words of Christmas Morning

Cam came into our room Christmas morning and utter these words,
"It doesn't get any more morning than this!"

And so it began, Christmas morning mayhem. It was SO fun and continues to be a very fun, relaxing week. Lots of playing, movies, reading, napping, laying around, playing, reading, playing...

Pictures to come, I just haven't had the inclination yet. Too busy lazing around.

I love Christmas break!

It is all about the laying around. Yesterday, we watched a marathon repeat of the entire "Biggest Loser" season 3. Nothing like laying on a couch all day eating chocolate and rice krispy treats watching a show about weight loss!

Don't know if you heard or not, Stacia, but a tornado hit Edward's Apple Orchard yesterday and destroyed all of the buildings. The trees were unaffected and they said on the news they were going to rebuild but it just won't be the same with new structures. I don't know how old the old barn was but you just can't replace stuff like that.

The end of an era, I guess.

Miss Bonnie actually called me. There were tears here. But, we DID get there this fall, so I'm happy about that. Still, you're right, it won't be the same. Did think it was cool in the news coverage that the owner was expressing concern for those who lost their homes, and was crediting his church with helping them already. Something good will come of it, meanwhile Cam and I will lament the loss.

I have a dozen Edwards apple donuts in my freezer from my trip there this fall. They feel like a really precious commodity now - something from the Edwards that was. I was saving them for a cold winter day, but now I think I'll just save them a little longer. Hey, if you come for a visit, I'll defrost them and share. :)
